Meeting begins: 16:05

Events:
Weekly event run-through
Other:
Extended conversation on where the future of ents should lead:
Paid or unpaid
If paid, surely a tech line manager required
Ents team leaders instead of committee?
Then normal techs underneath?
Possibly put Ents under bar like cloakroom and box office is?
But start off as unpaid trainee
Lucy:
This year differs to most as before plays would normally have external techs but this year external societies etc have got the impression that those who are Ents techs are free for use for every event, even those not by the Union
Adam:
What about parallels to bar, hire a few ents of 0 hour contracts for the unwanted events which no Ent wants to do?
Paul:
That gives a bad stigma to the volunteers, they may be put off by some people getting paid and others not, especially when it's for the odd-jobs not the actually testing ones
Debate over who would be in charge –– would volunteers have to be managed by those being paid or is it two separate things
Paul & Lucy: we're more paralleled with Byre techs, they're paid and some are students.
Adam: should have conversation with Byre to see how they organise - case study
